Ulama

Ulama is a game played by the Aztecs and Mayans. They started playing it in 1600, and today some of the people of Mexico still play it. The teams consist of at least five players and the goal is to use your body to slam the rubber ball in to the small goal.  The problem was, you couldn't use your hands or feet! The ball was about nine pounds, and it hurt when the ball hit you. The team to score eight times is the winner. They get the spectators jewelry. The losers get sacrificed! Although most modern games of Ulama take about two hours, The Mayan and Aztec games lasted six hours! The players  usually wear loincloths around their waists as uniforms.
